i think it would be cool to have a tournament format in the ufc again one day. where you get the top 8 in each division and let them advance with a win. not on the same night, but in consecutive shows like DREAM is doing right now.

I sat ringside watching the event and the pit proved above the hype. One thing I didn't notice was the push into the cage entrapment to just beat the crap out of someone to me is the worst part of the sport. This environment was not conducive to that. As a lifetime martial art enthusiast I felt that it showcased more skills and gave the grappler a fighting chance. The 28 degree angle of the dojotube surrounding seemed to bring people back to the center of the ring. It also seemed to maximize take downs. A slighter degree angle may decrease that scenario and should be considered. All in all i think we watched exciting fights though they were only 5 minutes long. I even liked the butterbean fight which taught me how to take out a much larger opponent and not be subjected to the overhand right. Let's hope Bob Meyrowitz has the insight to bring in big named fighters that would attract more viewership and ultimately be good for the sport. The more competition the more the fighters will ultimately make. Let's give Yamma another try and see what they've got in store for us next. We've got interviews after each fight and some clips you can't find anywhere on www.dojotube.com. Dojoe.

the ramp is cool cause it's still a dangerous place to be it's just allows more fluid movemnet
the kerr taktorov fight was cool - bigger kerr pushed taktarov on thw ramp for some GnP. tktarov had to defend well, but after escaping managed a kneebar after making it to the center - so it was cool.. the ramp kept the fight from stagnating yet allowed for either style to suceed...
and this is just the first time - it'll get really really interesting as it gets more familiar to the athletes
