WEC 36: Jens Pulver vs. Leonard Garcia on Sept 10th

By CagE | July 21, 2008

According to MMAJunkie, featherweights Jens “Lil Evil” Pulver (22-9-1) will take on Leonard Garcia (11-3) at WEC 36, Sept. 16th from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fl. The bout agreement is expected to be finalized later in the week.

Pulver will look to get back on the winning track after suffering a loss to WEC featherweight champion Uriajh Faber at WEC 34, in what was an epic battle.

Best known for his back and forth battle with UFC lightweight contender Roger Huerta, Leonard Garcia (2-0 in the WEC) will try to continue his WEC winning streak, with a win over “Lil Evil” at WEC 36. Garcia has been making the headlines recently after being arrested for felony drug trafficking charges. Both the state and felony charges were recently dropped, an now Garcia can focus on being a fighter.

Jens is done, Garcia has the speed of Faber and we have seen he has the heart of a Champ against Huerta. It will go all 3 rounds with Garcia winning all 3 rounds

I don’t know about that EDS. Garcia looked great against Huerta, but I think it will be more evenly matched than you think. Besides, Pulver held up very well against Faber’s speed.
