WEC 35: Jamie Varner vs. Marcus Hicks For Lightweight Title
By CagE | May 28, 2008
WEC lightweight champion Jamie Varner (14-2) will put his newly won tile on the line against undefeated Marcus Hicks (8-0) at WEC 35, August 3 in Las Vegas. Varner won the WEC lightweight title at WEC 33, by submitting “Razor” Rob McCullough back in February.
Hicks, 33, will make his forth consecutive appearance in the WEC. He has won all his fights in the WEC by submission, including a second round guillotine choke to Sergio Gomez, which was featured on the first season of the Tapout show.

Hicks loves the guillotine like no other so as long as Varner stays clear of that he’s probably good.
