Good call Korn, and it is also what makes fighters NOT thugs and punks. Just because they like to fight in the ring and not in the streets doesn’t really make them pussies or anything. Even though it is fighting, and as funny as it sounds, a lot of them probably don’t actually like to hurt people, unless it is in a competitive environment where the action can be stopped before someone is seriously injured.

steve…yeah those guys in rio heroes are insane and tough as hell. but mma has rules for a reason. so that it is a legitimate sport and to protect the fighters.

i’m glad a lot of mma fighters dont fight in the street. it means they take their career seriously and want to get paid for their work. they have that fighting maturity where they know they have skill and prove it in the cage. in martial arts thats usually the difference between a first degree and higher level black belts…has little to do with new skill, its mostly about mental maturity.

Very True and i couldnt agree more Kimbo is a worthless peice of crap and cant fight MMA at all. He should go back to the streets and stop disrespecting this MMA sport by his lack of intelligence and abilities.

Kimbo is no real mma fighter, he’s only fought 3 times and his opponents have not been top fighters, if you ask me Elitexc is protecting him giving him easy fights . he should have fought Bret rodgers instead of James Thomson. Kimbo would not last a round with Noguera or Heath hearing .

Well…if you READ any UFC or MMA articles like the most recent Q&A with Brock Lesnar he states that he wouldnt fight it there was no money on the line or if it was streetfighting. My point is simply exactly that why are you all talking about streetfighting when this is an MMA site?

My point is you are stating that you actually know UFC heavy-weights, and they told you they wouldnt fight in the street because they only know subs. which guys do “you know” that said this. besides this is an MMA page not a steet fighting page. So what exactly is your point. I dont get it.

This isnt Street fighting folks its MMA, none of the MMA fighters would get into a fight if they are not getting paid, and if its legal. There is no sense in putting your body at risk for that stupid crap like Kimbo did, but i do understand why he did, he was a bum on the street and wasnt smart enough to get a job and work a legitimate one like we all do. Then he gets picked up by Elite XC to just market and make money off of him, honestly they do not care if he ever turns into a some what good MMA fighter as they just want to market his background and make money off of him. Kimbo is a waste of time and you all are idiots for even talking about him including me so i am stoping at this moment.

I didnt say they wouldnt fight in a cage with a ref taco21. They wouldnt want to gt in a real fight. They need the safety of a referee that way they cant get fucked up really. How many fightsyou see in the UFC that have blood in them? Not many maybe 1 a fight card. Maybe. In a street fight is bare knuckle whip ass go all out no ref bullshit. U guys ever see rio heros? Now those are some bad ass fights. They may have a ref but they arent pussified with rules. Pride was way better than UFC to bad the U.S is full of a bunch of bitches who complain about the safety of a fighter. LMAO if u step in to fight its ur responsibilty to defend urself.
