not impressed either. but UFC champs don’t even make $1million a year fighting most top level boxer make like 5mill a fight. and bench warmers in the nfl make at least 1.5 mill. Its sad these guy gotta get endorsements where ever than can when they have the highest risk of injury than any sport.

Too much going on, I think if I was more attention deficit I would have liked it.

Ya I do find it sad that a guy like silva, who you cant find a legit contender to get in the ring, makes less than most place kickers in the NFL. Very sad. Couture makes like a million a fight and hes busy crying about not getting the fight he wants. Most of these guys kill themselves to get lucky enough to make 10K a fight. I live in Des Moines and I see Josh Neer and Jeremy Stevens around in Des Moines and they prolly don’t make much more than I do a year and they could end up brain dead. Dana and the Fertitas obviously live pretty comfortably and they better figure their shit out before their fighters start moving down the road to get paid.

Football is established and so is boxing. Only the top guys are making money in MMA right now but over the years as the sport grows, so will the paydays. I think the Elite deal with CBS and UFC’s deal with Budweiser are the first steps in the right direction.

Until then, the fighters are going to have make money like this commercial shows, by putting their sponsors name on their mouthpiece.

You would be suprised but the UFC pays more than those other guys. ELITE XC, KOTC, IFL, all the good young guys in those leagues will eventually go to the UFC look at LESNAR. and all the veterans there were in the UFC loss a couple of times than were kicked out. If you look at all the fighters in the UFC that have been there for years were and are on good winning streaks against top fighters and they still don’t make big time athlete money. At least ANDERSON SILVA lives in Brazil so what ever money he makes here he can live like 10 times better in Brazil. Still the fighters have to do these wack ads to get some additional money from some thing other than MMA.
