On less that two weeks notice, up-and-comer Chris Weidman will really step into the spotlight as he is tapped to fight Demian Maia on the UFC on FOX 2 main card. This is a huge opportunity for Weidman, who is coming off two big submission victories over Jesse Bongfeldt at UFC 131 and Tom Lawlor at UFC 139.
Weidman (7-0) is a former two time D-1 All American wrestler from Hofstra with a serious jiu-jitsu game that he learned under former UFC welterweight champion Matt Serra.
