UFC News: Corey Hill Likely Out 12-16 Months With Broken Leg

The 6′4″ lightweight Corey Hill will likely take 12-16 months off to heal after undergoing emergency surgery to repair a broken leg following his UFC Fight Night 16 injury loss to Dale Hartt.

Hill was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. to have his shin bones screwed back together.

    This guy was too malnourished to have been fighting. A body mass index of less than 20 (Hill’s is around 18) is dangerously low.

    I agree, he is too skinny, but you have to take into consideration that BMI is a very vague indicator used as a general health assessment. Technically, as far as BMI goes, I am on the low side of obesity, but there is no consideration for muscle mass. My body fat % is much lower than an obese person’s. I actually think Corey’s injury had more to do with bone health and density.
