Mirko Cro Cop signs with UFC
Pride FC’s number two ranked heavyweight Mirko Cro Cop is signing with the UFC. Besides Prides Fedor Emelianenko, Cro Cop is the toughest heavyweight in the world. His addition will add credibility to the UFC heavyweight title. I looking forward to seeing him fight either Tim Silvia or Branden Vera.
UFC Buys out WFA
UFC buys out WFA and some if their fighter contracts. Notably Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, who has beaten the current Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck “The Iceman” Lidell. Jackson will be a nice addition to the Light Heavyweight fighter pool.
Georges St. Pierre vs. Matt Hughes Rematch Set
The UFC has announced that their will be a rematch between Georges St. Pierre and Matt Hughes. The event is to take place, April 7 in Montreal. Sounds good to me, but GSP still has to fight Matt Serra before then. And we will have to see if Matt Hughes is going to take another fight before then.

I think that Cro Cop signing with the UFC is just about the best MMA news a fan could hear. Bringing Cro Cop and Quinton Jackson to the UFC is going to answer alot of questions about who realy is the best in the world. I think Cro Cop will defeat Silva. And I can’t wait to see what happens when Chuck and Quinton fight again.

I’m excited too, Cro cop is a really tough and talented heavyweight. His kicks are very fast for his size and he’s a smart striker. I think a match versus Arlovski would be a good start and then head to Silvia, which would not be an easy fight. I have to give Silvia credit, he is tougher and smarter than I thought. Now we’ll find out what he’s really made of.
If Cro cop does well maybe Fedor will make the move too despite a pay cut.

Yeah, the heavyweight division is boring in the UFC, this should add some excitement. I hope Cro Cop tears through Silvia.
