Nogueira fought once against Forrest and is now at Affliction?!? WOW. UFC is SO FIXED!!!! He was just brought in to lose to Forrest.

JD - Nogueira (neither brother) never fought Forrest….AND the Nogueira brother that won at Affliction tonight NEVER fought in the UFC.

    What are you talking about????

I think he is confusing the Rua Brothers for the Nogueira Brothers… all Brazilian but different families.

Da Spider is incredible. He is on a roll like few athletes get on.

Still doesn’t make sense - neither Rua brother fights for Affliction or is scheduled to….

I didn’t see what cut Irvin so bad. It didn’t look like Anderson was punching open fist, I don’t think it was a nail graze. Those must have been some bombs being rained down to gash Irvin like that.

  10. Oswald Gobblecock Says:
    July 19th, 2008 at 11:31 pm

It was the 1st punch that he hooked when he was down. He was hittin him str8 then he hooked 1 around so Irvin couldn’t block it and that was the cut punch.

Also, how the hell did Kevin Burns defeat Anthony Johnson with a poke to the eye? Why was that not a DQ… he poked him in the eye a few times. Can’t believe more didn’t complain about this!

  12. Kash Says:
    July 19th, 2008 at 11:40 pm

Yeah that cut was nasty. Anderson is one scary guy. He seems to leave his opponents mangled in some way. You know who’s the only fighter worse than Anderson to fight is…Kevin Burns. Fingers to the eye the whole night. I feel sorry for Johnson having to lose that fight, Burns should have been DQ’d.

  13. Kash Says:
    July 19th, 2008 at 11:42 pm

Yeah that fight was BS Oswald. I know exactly what your talking about. At the very least give it a no contest or go to the cards.

great fights and silva is for show the best 205

  15. JD Says:
    July 20th, 2008 at 11:59 am

OOps…. confused about the fighters I guess. But UFC is still FIXED sometimes..

  16. kom34 Says:
    July 20th, 2008 at 12:41 pm

the only fixing going on in the ufc is in matching up of styles or experience. but when the step into the cage its just one on one and anything can happen.

i felt bad for anthony johnson, that ending was terrible. it was as bad as the lawler/smith fight ending.

Irvin is not as tough as he would like to think. Maybe he should stop talking so much crap and give his jaws a rest and maybe he could do better then he is doing. Oh yea I would love to have a boxing match with Irvin because his hands are not that good.

  26. Jason Stone Says:
    July 25th, 2008 at 8:04 pm

Silva is taking over the UFC. Irvin is heavy handed, but silva is a well rouned muay thai and jui jitsu fighter and is much better than Irvin. Thanks Silva, I won 100 bucks.
BTW silva talks crap because he has the win streak to do it.

Irvin does talk too much, especially with that lucky win over Alexander. Can’t wait until the rematch
