so, you have the lower paid fighters finishing every fight on the card except one, yet last week, every fight went to decision except two. Thats kind of fucked up. These were some good fights though. Lauzon and Neer both looked pretty good, but I was surprised about Danzig. This was the first time I have ever seen Cain Velasquez fight and he did look pretty impressive.

Danzig got his ass handed to him. He looked horrible. I can’t stand Neer!! Lauzon is definitely going to be a force. I would love to see him fight Kenny again – not saying he would win but I think it would be a better fight.

This Cain Velazquez looks like the real deal. Give him a few more fights with some better ranked guys and he could be a contender.

I love the free fights, they usually put on a better show than the PPV….Usually.

The three MMA bouts will be headlined by a light heavyweight contest pitting Seth Petruzelli against former WEC champion Doug Marshall. The other two MMA fights include Roy Nelson versus Jeff Monson in a heavyweight bout, and former WWE superstar Bobby Lashley against an unnamed opponent.

tom, what are you talking about…what fights and were?

i heard about that card tom, it actually sounds pretty good, and yes this ufn was better than gsp vs penn card by far. cain looked real good but he was fighting a guy he was supposed to beat and could not really finish him.

  14. roy Says:
    February 9th, 2009 at 10:08 am

Seth Petruzelli, Bobby Lashley and more to return at Roy Jones Jr.-promoted MMA/boxing PPV March 21

Wow! Everyone here must want to tap GSP’s ASS U all love him that much, its pretty sad. If GSP is such a warrior MMA fighter why the grease at all. Let me guess he forgot it was illegal to put Vasiline on the body ….. Hum Ya that’s right. for all u BJ shit talkers a cheat is a cheat doesnt matter what you think.

  17. Tim Says:

Thanks it sounds good, i agree other than the GSP and BJ fight the fight night was way better overall. Obviously some people here dont know about the lubage and actually how minimal there was on spots of his chest and back…basically to sum it up there was enough to give an advantage to. Brett your a BJ fan and based upon that comment you have no idea about MMA and you probably didnt watch the fight live..BJ is a shit talker and just cant ascept the truth that GSP beat the shit talk right out of him…the vaseline play no factor what so ever and going forward if you have not heard the UFC has made new rules to corner man and vaseline handlers so this outrageous issue will not happen again…GSP is no cheat if anything its his trainer….

  18. Ryan S Says:

Thats not even what this thread is about, and by the way, I think I’m gonna go with the Nevada State Athletic Commision over you on this one Tim. Yeah it was his trainer, but anyone who has fought AND saw the video knows that that amount can make a difference. That fight probably would have ended the same way, but it’s just the fact that it was done, and more fighters can testify to it. Besides, in the video I saw, the trainer rubbed the vaseline on his hand, and his hand went immediately to GSP’s shoulder and chest.

And stop throwing around that “you obviously don’t know anything about MMA” bullshit.

i love the, you dont know shit about mma thing. I find it hilarious because this is all OPINION, so in theory none of us know shit about mma, lets all just take a step back and not throw a fucking temper tantrum whenever someone disagrees with us. And I agree fuck BJ i dont even like GSP but if your gonna talk that much shit and bum rush the guy in the ring after his fight, you better back it up. He didnt HE GOT HIS ASS KICKED. Go back to lightweight and get beat up by kenflo.

to say gsp isnt a cheat but his triner is is the most ignorant thing i have ever heard of. thats like saying roger clemes isnt a cheat or bary bonds isnt a cheat only their trainers were the cheats, idiot
