When I say “Just stand up,” I mean someone in a bar is cheering on someone who just pulled guard and he doesn’t like it because he thinks it is boring. I know its possible to not like ground work as much as stand up. And when I first learned about MMA, I never made comments I didn’t know about unless it was a question. It’s ignorance. Forget it. I just get irritated easily. I know, it is pretty stupid.

Just remember, you didn’t wake up one day knowing everything there is to know about MMA. They can learn too. I’ve heard trainers yell “just stand up” before. It is actually possible for someone that excels at groundwork to hate going to the ground and love striking.

The ONLY thing that really sucks about this is that this will breed that stupid kind of fan that thinks they know all about the sport. You know, like those assholes in the bars that yell things like “Just stand up,” and “He should just knock him out.” I love the people that can watch and say that they are extremely bored with the ground work. That means they don’t like MMA, but that they like kickboxing. Totally irrelevant. Sorry.
