mma junkie put out an article that said A silva has 6 more fights left on his ufc contract. his manager also said there was no truth to the retirement rumors and that the spider had a few years left to fight. good news.

Anderson is pretty much the best fighter in the MMA he has unbelievable striking abilities and he controls the ground no doubt. It might be good for him to keep winning for like five to six more fights then maybe he ca hang up the belt.

every body fights for some wat of the money, its all ways on the mind of a fighter, it sucks how these fighters get paid in the UFC specially for the title holders, Silva doesn't even come close to getting paid as much as Chuck, and Silva has been a undefeated Champ for the UFC, same thing with GSP or any of the other current champs. If Affliction is still up and running in the next few years and continues to pay fighters as much as they did in their first fight card then UFC is going to lose alot of there best fighters, and thats actually why they are trying to buy out MMA company's so thats there's no one to compare salary's to.

This is either media attention or he wants to leave and have some dream match in boxing for a few mil. I hope he sticks around for a while. But the good news is he fights more than almost anyone, he would fight every other month if the UFC would let him. So we'll see plenty of the Spider this next year.

I don't know, he could retire. Silva never struck me as anyone that fought for the money, rather, he fought because he liked to do it and he liked the challenge. If there isn't any challenge, he might be the type to move on to the next thing in life. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that was how he felt. I sure as hell hope he doesn't retire though. I have never seen him in a fight and not been entertained.

If you think about it though if chuck would have retired before he fought rampage we would all still be talking about how he's the greatest but because he's still hanging on to the sport everyone is saying after his loses he should just retire. Maybe the spider wants to go out on top. I would hate to see it. I would also like to see him just move up to 205 and show how great he really is.

or whos to say he wont go somewhere else and fight and make more money, its not like if he goes an fights for affliction and it goes under he cant come back and clean out the division after he makes a lil money, the only people happy about this are bisping, leben, marquadt, okami, hendo, franklin. I would almost say I would rather he vacate the title and move up and fight at just lhw. there are so many good fights there. I say him and machiada would be a great fight to watch just cause of the contrast in styles.
