Am i missing something? why does everyone act like lesnar would cut through lidell's sprawl like butter? I'm a brock fan but the facts dont lie. brock could barely take randy down once and when he did he didnt do that much damage and randy got back up. most of the time was spent in the clinch and the fight was settled by boxing because even tho lensar was way bigger he wasnt that superior in the wrestling. lidell has way better takedown defense than couture. ya maybe not in straight up wrestling but lidell has been taken down a lot less times than couture in mma. also lidell is a lot better at scrambling and standing up than couture so it wouldnt even be that easy for brock to hold him down if he got him there. brock seemed frusterated when he was boxing randy. i would like to see him take shots from lidell who has a lot more power than randy on the feet. i mean im not saying chuck would win or dominate. i think brock would eventually get him down but i dont think it woyuld be the cake walk all of you guys think it would be.

Yeah, this doesn't interest me nearly as much as this matchup did in the past. Liddell beat Lesnar? Absolutely not, no doubt in my mind. Liddell used to be this phenomenal fighter in people's eyes, but recently he has become human once again. He doesn't have it anymore and he wouldn't be too hard of a matchup for Lesnar, strictly because Lesnar WILL be able to take him to the ground, and will overpower and over wrestle him.

Lesnar would not have to strike against Lidell. Lidell has great takedown defense but not against someone that is three times as strong, quicker, faster and more agressive. Lesnar would take him and pound him out in the first round.
Randy versus Lidell..it sounds like a the UFC, Randy, and Lidell are looking for one last bug pay day off these 2 big names that don't have much in the tank left. I will watch because I watch them all but I am not looking forward to it. Having fighters cross weight divisions is exciting if the timing is right and the fighters are on top of their game. Silva going up to 205 was great even if he was not fighting a top 205 guy because I wanted to see what he could do with a bigger guy. The upcoming Penn vs. GSP is going to be fantastic. I cant wait for that. But what is the point of Lidell vs. Randy 4? These are fighters that are not as exciting as they once were and neither will ever challenge for a title again.
If this happens, I hope it is not the main event because that will make for one boring UFC.
Randy really hurt himself by holding out. I don't like Dana and agree that the UFC only cares about the "organization" and not the fighters but come on...Randy was on a roll and not getting any younger. Even if they disrecpected him by offering Lesnar more money (I think I recall that was the main reason he refused to fight- because the UFC offered Lesnar more money in his first fight than they wanted to offer Randy), he had a couple more fights on his contract. All he had to do was to go out and win those and he would completed his contract and has a huge pay day and given the world the dream match-up of Randy versus Fedor. But no, he had to take the "prinicple" route. What did it get him other and wasting almost 2 years in court, getting older, and rusty? He didn't get to fight Fedor, he didn't get all the money he was looking for...all he got was to sit and wait and then come back to get his ass kicked by Lesnar. Randy, I respect all you have done but you screwed up!

Yeah Lesnars striking isnt even close to being good. He has good power but he cant even move his head b/c he has no neck and he is very slow with his power shots. If Chuck couldnt see the punch that Randy got caught with then he needs to retire. But as we saw Rashad throws harder then Liddell. Maybe thats who should test his chin lol.

Maybe so but Chuck is in another league in the striking...itll be interesting! Id like to see those punches land on that ginormous head of Lesnars. It would be the true test of his chin thats for sure.

Anything is possible but Liddel is so far out of his league against Lesnar it wouldnt be pretty...at least Randy was some what in his league when it came to wrestling and defense

i dont get why everyone thinks its so obsurd for chuck to fight at heavyweight. doesnt he walk around at like 230? if his reflexes are slowing down then maybe he should fight slower heavyweights. the LHW division is a lot harder than the Heavies imo. the dude seems bigger to me than randy. other than the first randy fight randy couldnt take down lidell. the guy isnt what he used to be but u still dont see anyone takin him down and poundin him out. i would be interested to see how his sprawl is at heavyweight. i think chuck still has one of the best take down defenses in the game. i do think lesnar would beat him because of size, power, and probably speed but i think it would be more interesting than people think. brock didnt kill randy in the wrestling department i mean he only won 1-0 on takedowns. randy kept brock up against the cage for a lot of that fight and stopped all but one takedown. i would be interested to see if chuck could keep from getting taken down like he did randy and if he could stand up like he does with everyone. also it would be awesome to actually see chuck fight from off his back for once in his life. i think the stand up could be interesting too seeing as brock has a huge reach and is very aggressive and chuck has a good reach when not compared to brock and is a counterpuncher. i definetly wouldnt put money on lidell but imagine what it would do to his legacy if he slayed the beast known as lesnar.

sorry i guess i was just dreamin

Jimmy bro, I would love to see that happen...don't think it's gonna...but I'd love to see it. I just don't see chuck changing that drasticly(<- ?) this late in the game. If dana wasn't the kind of douche who would take advantage of chucks loyalty and willingness to fight..he'd let him feed on a couple of young bucks...kind of a "welcome to the jungle" sort of initiation and clear out some trash before retiring and beginning his stint as MMA ambassador to the world(along with Randy in a few). Watching how evans just waited him out, knowing chucks hands were not gonna be up, and then leveled him before doin his fred sanford really made me so eFF'n saaaad dude...like watching your favorite cousin lose a fight...but reality has gotta set in at some point...Chucks either gotta do some major retooling or collect a couple more checks and then bounce...for sho'....

I like Chuck, but to be honest until he changes things up with his fight, I don't think anyone worthy is a good fight. He wants that knock out clip and everyone knows that by now. It reminds me of the hughes and gracie fight. Gracie ruled UFC in the day and then he fought hughes and it was a whole new ballgame. You have to have more than one option to win now a days. I know there was an age difference, but with Randy I don't see age as much of an offset as I normally would. I don't know, but I would really like to see Chuck get his second wind and just whip everyones ass.
