gsp is 10 times better than when they first faught bj penn is going down

this fight is going to end in a draw

  4. Ryan S Says:
    October 24th, 2008 at 4:36 pm

BJ is one of those fighters I would NEVER count out. I do like GSP, but I think BJ can pull out the win.

I’m also happy to see Bonnar fighting again. I thought he was out of the UFC. I hope he is training with a better camp though.

GSP will win in a decision, BJ has a good chin and he’s really impossible to submit. Slight chance of referee stoppage in the later rounds if BJ completely runs out of gas. BJ will try to keep it on the feet as much as possible as wrestling GSP takes way too much energy.

gsp is my favorite ufc fighter. gsp will kick his ass again

I think BJ will be ready for a big fight this time. He has a different out-look now. Both of these guys like to “be first” in their fights. They are not big counter fighters so I expect the first round to be awesome.

both are slippery fighters ….looks like a good fight tho

“danny g”—are you serious? About the word AGAIN….where you even watching the first fight? BJ was spankin his ass….its lack of training cardio in Hawaii that lost him that fight. GSP did not impress anyone. Quit swingin from his scrotum and realize that neither fighter will DOMINATE this fight. This is probably gonna be a stale mate due to both men’s amazing list of talents.

Sure GSP will be a little more explosive, and has better wrestling, but BJ is GUMBY and can bend and twist like a 9 year old gymnast! This fight will be fun to watch if you are a true fan of technical MMA.

    Oh….and BJ FTW via oma-plata!

This is going to be a killer fight best of luck to both fighters but i think GSP owns Penn in this one.

  12. roy Says:
    October 29th, 2008 at 10:39 am

i don’t think either fighter will get owned, it will be a close fight hard to say who will come out on top but i am going with bj.

  13. Rawdogg Says:
    November 3rd, 2008 at 2:50 pm

BJ by sub…its gonna be a grueling fight for both guys…this isnt 3 rounds like their first fight its 5…i just see GSP being tha one who makes the mistakes later in the fight because of the amount of energy hes gonna have to exert to keep BJ on his back in addition to all the punishment they will both take…as the fight reaches round 4 GSP will be tha one making the mistakes and BJ will capatilize!

  14. bob Says:

gsp will open up a can of rape sauce on penn

  15. bob Says:
    November 8th, 2008 at 4:52 pm

im not joking, pure genuine rape sauce

  16. bob Says:
    November 8th, 2008 at 4:55 pm

in case you didnt hear me the first two times gsp is going to beat penn down like he stole something

  17. bob Says:
    November 8th, 2008 at 5:09 pm

in all seriousness gsp will win probably by tko or unamimus decision if bj survives which is very unlikely

  18. Goose Says:
    November 9th, 2008 at 1:17 am

If BJ comes out in-shape, he’ll pepper GSP with jabs again. GSP will finally get a takedown in late rounds (like the first fight), will go nowhere on the ground (like the first fight), but this time BJ will have enough time to submit GSP via gogo-plata. Remember, real fights have no time limit. It is a matter of time before any great BJJ fighter of BJ’s caliber will submit anyone.

  19. tom Says:
    November 9th, 2008 at 8:35 am

yea right GSP is a million times better with his ground game now then he was back then.. GSP will take BJ down alot.. GSP will use the same game plan as he did with serra.. make the fight a up and down war

  20. Ike Says:
    November 10th, 2008 at 9:55 am

GSP JUST EARNED A BJJ BLACK BELT AND HAS BETTER CARDIO. PENN’S ONLY CHANCE IS HIS JAB, BUT GSP CAN EXCHANGE TOO. SO GOOD LUCK PENN. GSP IS READY AND GOING TO REMAIN THE CHAMP

  21. MIIKE Says:
    November 10th, 2008 at 4:07 pm

I THINK BJ PENN WANTS TO WIN THIS ONE SO BAD IT HURTS. LOOK AT THE WAY HE WAS TALKING ABOUT SHERK AND JUST DESTROYED HIM. GSP IS TOUGH BUT I THINK BJ IS GONNA PULL THIS ONE OUT. VIA TKO

  22. Ike Says:
    November 11th, 2008 at 9:55 am

PENN DOES WANT TO WIN. BUT GSP WANTS TO WIN JUST AS BAD SO HE CAN REMAIN CHAMP. I’M A GSP FAN SO I WANT GSP AND I THINK GSP. BUT PENN IS ONE OF THE BETTER FIGHTERS IN THE UFC

  23. Ike Says:
    November 11th, 2008 at 9:58 am

BOTH CAN STAND. BOTH HAVE GREAT BJJ. I THINK GSP HAS A LITTLE BETTER WRESTLING. ALTHOUGH PENNS TAKEDOWN DEFENSE IS GREAT, BUT SO WAS FINCH AND KOSCHECK. CARDIO? HANDS DOWN GSP, AND THATS KEY

  24. gambling man Says:
    November 11th, 2008 at 7:55 pm

BJ will take this fight by submission in the later rounds. The first rounds will go back and forth, making it a fight to remember. Although GSP may be better atheletically, BJ by far better technically.

  25. Rawdogg Says:
    November 11th, 2008 at 10:49 pm

Martial Arits is about technique…not weight or athletic ability but technique more so than anything esle…BJ has better overall technique weather its stand up or BJJ…Penn has tha advantage…Cardio is key for GSP but what must be understood is that momentum will swing and when it does later in tha fight GSP will be open for subs…BJ will not quit he would rather die or even fight with a broken arm…GSP has quitter written all over him…watch and see BJ cement himself as one of the greatest to ever do it…”Legenday Status”…its gonna be a great day for MMA when BJ defeats GSP…Superbowl Saturday.

  26. Ike Says:
    November 13th, 2008 at 5:16 pm

RAWDOGG IT MAKES TOTAL SENSE WHAT YOU ARE SAYING ABOUTH MMA BEING TECHNIQUE AND I CAN AGREE THAT PENN IS ONE OF THE BETTER FIGHTERS.GSP’S TECHNIQUE, CARDIO, AND ABILITY HAS WHAT MADE HIM A WELTERWEIGHT CHAMP. I KNOW PENN IS A CHAMP TOO, BUT I DON’T AGREE THAT GSP IS GOING TO QUIT. HE WANTS TO BE #1 JUST AS BAD AS PENN. EITHER WAY IT IS GOING TO BE A GOOD FIGHT.

  27. joshf Says:
    November 14th, 2008 at 3:19 pm

GSP by smash that potato looking head G&P round 4.
    Penn has nothing on GSP.

  28. Zulu Says:
    November 24th, 2008 at 4:21 am

If BJ comes in fit and in shape he will beat GSP 9 times out of 10

  29. MMA Ga Fan Says:
    November 28th, 2008 at 12:39 pm

This fight will showcase GSP as one of the best pound for pound fighters as BJ Penn and all his fans will find out as there is bigger gap between these two fighters than anyone realizes. BJ Penn should have stayed happy being a dominant light weight champion. GSP will submit BJ in the first round of this fight to everyone’s dismay.

  30. whodini Says:
    November 28th, 2008 at 1:58 pm

    like bob said….rape sauce

  31. fedor24 Says:
    November 28th, 2008 at 2:56 pm

Penn is one of my favorite fighters. I do not think for 1 second that he will easily beat GSP. I think he will prevail but I believe GSP has the edge at this weight. He will be stronger and have better cardio than BJ. Now if GSP were to drop to lightweight then BJ all the way. This is at best an even money fight fight. I just hope BJ can catch him and sub him. this will be a great fight.

Not to take anything away from BJ Penn; who has he fought afer his loss that GSP didn’t dominate. Penn should face Alvez before a title shot at GSP. I think Alvez would take Penn in a decision.
GSP was slightly a better fighter then Penn back then; his skill set has improved much more then Penn over the last years. Penn might last 5 rounds with GSP, however Penn will endure what Fitch did; lots of pain. Quite frankly Penn has been slightly overrated in his last 2 fights; Stevenson and Sherk, C’mon.
Overall, GSP is the ultimate fighter of the UFC along Anderson Silva.
I can’t wait to see an end to Penn; really.
    GSP in 4 rounds.

Am a big fan of both fighters. This will be an all out war the 1st and 2nd rounds. BJ’s stamina will come into question in the latter rounds like it did in there 1st fight. I know BJ has been working on that but will it be enough for GSP who is in great shape. Think the fight will either end in a submission or decision but don’t really see either knocking the other one out. Good luck to both fighters. Great fight for true MMA fans.

  42. Heath Says:

Bj wins by submission in the 3rd round. I think BJ’s stand up will cut him up again as well. Bj won the first fight in my mind. GSP was a bloody mess, only won because of a few more take downs which he did nothing with. Both are great fighters but I’ll put my money on Penn…
    GO BJ….

Guys remember in the first fight in the first round GSP looked alot worse than what happened to him. Go back and watch. He got poked in th eye and cut. Then he got clipped on the nose. He clearly lost the first round but he looked worse than it was. Second and third round he did good standing and keeping BJ back and did a good job of changing levels and not ltting BJ fire off big shots standing b/c when he did fire big shots he got takedown by GSP. Now if u guys have been watching the UFC primetime stuff GSP is training hard as he ever haswile BJ is looking like he is half assing it a lil bit. BJ is gonna need all the cardio he can get. This is possibly 5 rounds and its no Sean Sherk he is dealing with either. GSP will push him cardio wise and he is gonna need to be tip top shape. I hope they both give there bests and it is a war. I would lean towards GSP taking this win for sure.
