UFC 93: Marcus Davis vs. Chris Lytle

According to the Junkie, The Irish hand grenade Marcus Davis will take on heavy handed Chris Lytle at UFC 93 on January 17th from the O2 Arena in Dublin, Ireland.
“Chris Lytle and I want to fight each other … He’s expressed that he wants to fight me. I’ve expressed that I want to fight him.
“We like each other, we respect each other, but we want to have that fight. And my pitch to Chris is, ‘The first guy that starts grappling is a pussy, so let’s not do that. Let’s just stand up and just beat the hell out of each other. If we get in a clinching scenario, and somebody wants to throw somebody or whatever, go ahead and do it. But let’s not try to finish it on the ground. Let’s stand up, and let’s bang it out.’”

Mark Coleman is fighting? That should be pretty good. I don’t think Davis will have any problem winning this fight.

This will be a fight but Davis should win but Lytle could pull it off.

Cant forget about Franklink vs Hendo man this should be great..but i see Franklin winning.

franklin vs hendo will in my eyes tell the true #2middle weight in the world i would put paulo behind both of these guys, i see hendo winning but franklin does have a good chance as well.

Tim, that was the most back-ass-wards thing I have ever read lol. I do agree with you though. Chris Lytle has the tools to win, I just think Davis will do better. Especially after Lytle’s last fight. I thought that looked sloppy as hell. I also think Franklin’s reach advantage will help him out against Hendo. Franklin is pretty good on his feet and I think he will be able to keep Hendo back long enough to get the TKO or win the decision (I’d prefer the TKO)

i could see franklin winning hendo but i dout it will be by tko, probally a decision win is the only way franklin will win.

Im prolly as excited for the Franklin Hendo fight as almost any of these. It seems like a very evenly matched fight and it will change the winner and losers careers significantly most likely.

Did anyone see Paulo Filho miss weight today by 7 POUNDS! he came back and weighed in at 189. So he will fight sonnen 4 pounds over. I thought that it was crazy!

I didn’t see that. Filho is a huge guy so it doesn’t suprise me that he had to cut extra. But 4 pounds over is a lot.
I think this is going to be a banging war between Davis and Lytle. I would give the edge to Davis because he has more powerful punches.

Yeah Filho came in heavy twice. What sucks is that it’s not a title fight anymore and it’s only a 3 rounder. Win or lose Filho keeps the belt….huh? Why punish Sonnen because Filho didn’t cut properly. Sounds dumb to me.
