I am saying he can crack the top ten but I really dont think he has it in him to be champ at that level or at middleweight unless spider vacates title to stay at 205 if he ever wins it there. He is more of a gatekeeper at middleweight now, after those two embarrassments he would have to win at least 5 or 6 in a row to get a shot again I would say. Also How is it in the list above that Hendo doesnt manage to crack the top of that list granted he lost his title to rampage but still a top notch guy. The crazy thing is you have forrest at like 8 which may be true, its nuts that the guys who is the champ doesnt look that dominate at all.

I don't know why everybody is putting a top 10 list that supposedly Rich Franklin can't clear. First of all Rich has competed in LHW before and only had one loss in it (to Lyoto Machida). Don't forget that Rich beat Chuck Lidell fairly easily too; and also probably the best guy if not in the top 3 in LHW is Lyoto Machida so anybody would have a tough time with Machida, not just Rich. Rich has been there before and he definitely has the tools to win a lot in that division.

I don't know steve, I think I agree with Dane. Both are great. I know for a fact that Hamill will definately give Franklin a run for his money, but I think Franklin has a lot more mental game than hamill. Hamill is still kind of young in the sport. He has absolutely amazing potential though.

ok and the people that Rich has fought and been able to beat are not on the level of matt hamill either. Hamill will prove to be too much for Rich and then u guys will see how overrated u guys had him.

thanks tom ya both are great fighters i could see either one winning im not counting hamill out at all. i will be sad to see either lose to be honest. if i had to bet i would put my money on rich because i just dont see himill pounding rich to a stoppage i dont think his gnp is as good as people say is all.

Dane Drebin i like the points that you point out and you make me look at the fight a little different but idk rich might has a good guard but idk matt is very strong for 205 and every time he fight he looks so much better so idk .. the fight would go either way

i think hamill has a powerful right hand but rich is gunna pick him apart then hamill will take him down and not do anythign when it gets there. i like hamill and hope he does well in this sport but look at his mma record its 5-1. he hasnt faced anyone of rich's caliber do u really think rich is jsut gunna get taken down and get pounded out? rich's gaurd is too good, he has great sprawl and brawl, he's good at getting back to his feet, and hamill just isnt that devistating when he get people to the ground. i think franklin is way better than bisping and while i think hamill won the fight against bisping he didnt do much after he got his takedowns. i could be wrong but i believe rich's experience will be too much for matt.
