I am wasn’t really a big Penn fan but wow. Sherk had no business even being in the ring. As far as going for the take down goes, I don’t think it would have mattered because he should have tried as opposed to eating about 3,000 jabs. AND SERIOUSLY IF YOU DONT HAVE ANYTHING INTELLIGENT TO SAY JUST DONT COMMENT!!!

GSP and Penn would be a great fight pure athletism against pure skills. would be a hell of a fight to see. P.S. Fitch doesn’t have a prayer.

I knew from the start that Bj Penn would be hard to take down,and his stand up is better than sherks cuz of his reach advantage.
So Rizzel you say that me and little bit dont have a clue of what we were talking about?
Well both me and little bit knew that Bj Penn would use his reach advantage in this fight to win, i dont think we said anything about Bj not being the better stand up guy.
Bj Penn did controll this fight but he didn´t destroy Sherk like a lot of you other guys said, Bj Penn winner by submission in the 1st round.
Penn vs Stevenson deja vu.
That didn´t happen, cuz Bj Penn knew that Sean Sherk is stronger than him on the ground and thats why he choose not to try to take the fight to the ground.
Sherk is a great fighter, but to beat Penn you must have better stand up.
Thats why i think that a fight between Penn and GSP could be one of the best fights in the UFC.
Maybe you are right, perhaps Dana wants to wait for this fight to happen,maybe some time next year.

i think b.j would beat gsp but it would be a tough fight, i also don’t think dana will let it happen for a long time he wants to keep them in there own devisions to not burn one of his big draws.

i think bj penn would beat gsp too. he did good in their first fight and now he is more focused and in better shape. i dont think dana will even consider this fight until both of them have at least one more title defense.

TOLD YA’LL (comment 86)!!!!!!!! If you have any knowledge of the stand up game, you knew what would happen. If you watched his fights against GSP, and Hughes, you knew what would happen. Now, if your name in “ADAM N” or “little bit” you haven’t a clue as to what you’re talking about.

Seriously, look at Sherk vs. GSP, then look at BJ Penn vs. GSP………… What were ya’ll thinking.

As for a rematch against GSP….. Penn will take that one as well. He won it the first time (judges were idiots int hat one). How GSP got the “W” on that one on is still beyond me. Rounds 1 and 2 were 100% Penn.

I must say Bj penn impressed me in this fight, he showed that he got the heart for the first time against a top fighter.

Im sorry for Sean Sherk, but he waited to long for the takedown, wich he is best at.
He was afraid to fail with his takedowns in this fight, wich i can understand cuz Bj penn could get his back.
He wanted to wait to the 4th round to take him down, but that uppercut and that knee stopped that.

Bj really used his reach advantage in this fight, cuz i think that was his only chance of winning the fight.
He never really tried to take Sherk down once in this fight, cuz we all know that Sherk is stronger than Penn on the ground.

It will be very interesting to se if Penn will get his rematch against GSP.
If that happens, it might be the top 5 best fights in the UFC history.
GSP is one of my favorit fighter so i have to go with him in that fight.

OOhhh…I love this part, this is where I get to rub BJ’s win in the face of all the Sherk lovers! Like I’ve done in his last couple fights.

Now do you guys realize that BJ is a fuckin great fighter?!! Now do you realize that just because you train really really hard and have insane workouts does NOT mean you’ll win against an opponent with phenomenal skills and natural fighting ability?!

BJ controlled the whole fight and was winning every round. The knee to the head was sweet and the fact that BJ called the fight himself and said “He’s done!” was icing on the cake.

I know a lot of people don’t like BJ because they say he’s cocky. He’s all about getting in the head of his opponent! It’s part of the game! As you can see after all his fights he’s cool with the other guy.

BJ Penn FTW!!!!!
