According to MMAJunkie, Alan Belcher has confirmed his fight with Patrick Cote at UFC 83 on April 19 from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.

Belcher was originally scheduled to fight Ricardo Almeida at UFC 81, but was forced to withdraw three days before the fight with a severe cold.

“I am still under the weather a bit, and I’m going back to the doctor (today),” Belcher told us. “I still have some deep coughing that you can hear real bad in my chest.“

Patrick Cote is on a impressive wining streak after going 0-4 in the UFC. Cote defeated Ultimate Fighter 3 winner Kendal Grove by TKO at UFC 74 and most recently TKO ed Drew McFedries at UFN 12.

Alen Belcher is a tough kid, but a bit to cocky. I think he will have is work cut out for him with Patrick Cote. Cote is coming of two straight impressive victorys and I will have to say this will be his third in a row. After he beats Belcher I want to see him fight Matt “The Law” Lindland. I would love to see Lindland return to the UFC middleweight division and wreck havoc. Cote would ge a perfect opponent for Lindland.

I like Alan Belcher’s aggressive fight style… I would like to see him fight Bisping.

He looked very good against Starnes… but got a kickin’ against Grove… so its hard to predict.

      Probably Cote by decision
