According to a recent interview with GracieMag, undefeated Damian Maia (6-0) will take on TUF veteran Ed “Short Fuse” Herman on March 8 at UFC 83.

“I got back to Sao Paulo today; I was vacationing in California with my wife, where I also shot some Jiu-Jitsu dvds. I’ll be back at the UFC on March 8th to fight Ed Herman, who I don’t know, but my manager brought me a tape with some of his fights to analyze, but I haven’t had time to watch yet.”

Maia a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu specialist is coming off a submission win over Ryan Jensen at UFC 77 Hostile Territory. Maia is also the current Abu Dahbi Combat Club (ADCC) champion at 87Kg.

Ed Herman is on a three fight win streak, with his most recent win coming at UFC 78, when he knocked out Joe Doerksen early in the third round.

ed looked like a terminator in his last fight. he looked the best ive ever seen of him not only in beating that guy who beat him before but just his physical appearance all around. i hope he beats this dude but maia seems pretty good himself should be a good fight
