UFC 83: Cote Out With Injury, Jason Day Steps In

The Fight Network is reporting, UFC veteran Patrick Cote has been forced out of his fight with Alan Belcher at UFC 83 Montreal, after falling on some ice, spraining his knee.
Stepping in to replace Cote is UFC newcomer Jason Day. Day is coming off a five fight win streak after losing Cote at TKO 29 in June of last year. Day holds wins over UFC veterans Jonathan Goulet and David Loiseau.

Cote is on a roll, it sucks that he has to bow out this late. But I’ve had knee injuries and they are no joke so its understandable.

Cocky maybe, but in all honesty Cote didnt want the fight, He feared it would take a little more than another lucky wild left hook.. that would be my guess. But that does suck about his knee i wanted to see belcher destroy him

I doubt Belcher would have destroyed Cote…. He couldn’t handle Kendal Grove… and Cote knocked Grove out…
It woulda’ been a good fight though!

Alan Belcher would destroy Patrick Cote, Belcher is gonna own day, cote just doesnt have it against alan belcher, who will be a middle weight stand-out this year.
