By CagE | December 5, 2007

terry martin

Accroding to MMAMainia, Terry Martin will take on Marvin Eastman at on January 2 at UFC 81 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Martin returns to the cage after getting KO by Chris Leben in the third round at UFN 11.

Also, Tim Sylvia has confirmed on his blog that he is indeed fighting at UFC 81 against an unnamed opponent.

“I just want to apologize to everybody that i haven’t been on my website or MySpace in a while. I just moved to a new house and don’t have internet yet, because they have to run a new cable. So, I’m hoping in the next couple of weeks it will be up and running. Just found out I’m fighting February 2nd, on the Super Bowl show in Las Vegas. I can’t say who I’m fighting yet, but I’ll let you all know as soon as I can. Deer season went really well. I’m back in training now, been training for the last three weeks.”

Sylvia is expected to fight Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira for the vacant UFC heavyweight title. The only other likely opponent for Sylvia would be hard hitting Cheick Kongo.

Yeah, I don’t get why this fight is getting any attention. Eastman has done good outside of the UFC since getting KO’d by Rampage, but other than that I don’t really care.
