According to MMAWeekly, David Heath will take on Anthony “El Toro” Ruiz at UFC 81 February 2 from the Mandalay Event Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The report puts out rumors that the David Heath’s fight would be scratched from UFC 81 all together after Tomasz Drwal was forced out of the fight with a knee injury.

Ruiz is on a six fight winning streak, with his last win coming this weekend at Palace Fighting Championships over The Ultimate Fighter 2 veteran Brad Imes.

Anthony Ruiz (20-10) has been fighting in various promotions including PFC, Strikforce, WEC, Gladiator Challenge and King of the Cage.

UPDATE: The UFC has announced that Tim Boetsch will fight David Heath at UFC 81 and Not Ruiz.

Tim Boetsch (6-1) is stepping in for the fight. His last fight was a loss to Vladimir Matyushenko in the IFL witch was the only tough opponent he fought that I know of. David Heath has lost his last 2 fights, but they were against tougher opponents so I say the fight is a toss up.
