UFC 80: BJ Penn vs. Joe Stevenson
By CagE | November 3, 2007
Joe “Daddy” Stevenson and BJ “The Prodigy” Penn are set to fight at UFC 80 in Newcastle, England. If Sean Sherk’s steroid test is upheld by the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC), Joe Stevenson and BJ Penn will be fighting for a interim UFC lightweight title. The winner will then fight Sean Sherk for the UFC lightweight title when he finishes his suspension.

wow this is not even a close match up. B.J. Penn is better than STevenson anywhere the fight goes. What is Stevenson going to do? He cant strike with B.J. and if he takes him down he is going to get submitted. Which is what will end up happening. Easy win for B.J.

Stevenson is physically stronger than Penn and will last in a long fight. If its an interim title fight, then is it a 5 rounder?

I think it is a 5 round fight. If Penn trains right then I don’t think stamina will be a big issue for him.

Besides the lucky kick/puch to the head, Joe needs to hope BJ runs out of gas
