UFC 79: Thierry Sokoudjou vs. Lyoto Machida Confirmed

Thierry Sokoudjou vs. Lyoto Machida

The UFC website has confirmed, Thierry Sokoudjou will face Loyoto Machida at UFC 79 on December 29 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The “African Assasin” Thierry Sokoudjou (4-1) only made his MMA debut in 2006, but by midway of 2007 he had beaten two of PRIDES FC best light heavyweights Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Ricardo Arona. His aggressive fighting style and athleticism will be a big addition to the already stacked UFC light heavyweight division.

Comments

  1. Perfect fight for Sokoudjou. Machida better hope he can get aggressive in this fight because Soko will put the pressure on him until he gets KO'd.

  2. Agreed.

  3. this is actually a bad fight fight for sokoudju becuase Machida doesnt lose and he tends to make fighters he fights look boring. So unless Sokoudjou can hurt him ealry the fight is gonna be interesting. I still feel like Mchida will get tko'd but Machida is a good fighter with very lil reputation. So losing to him as a debut fight would hurt him badly. He needs this win. Actually they both need this win.
