UFC 79 Did Not Impress Takanori Gomi

Pride veteran Takanori Gomi released this statement clarifying his decision to sign with Japans World Victory Road promotion over the UFC, Gomi Stated:

“I would like to deliver a fight which has more impact than before.”

“By watching UFC on NYE, I felt the MMA boom for the past 10 years had ended. I felt I wanted make a new start and I confirmed that a new event is where I fight next.”

“Fighting outside of Japan attracts me, but I decided to fight close to most of my fans.”

    I think it was a great move!!. The UFC is overated, also they do not let their fighters compete in any other organization, so all you fans think that the UFC is the top dog are wrong!!. Keep in mind your light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” jackson and Heavyweight Interm champion Antonio R. Nogera also came from Pride which was based in japan. In closing if you remember way back when UFC figthers were going over to japan and getting their ass kicked!.
