UFC 78: David Tarrell Out Due To Injury
By CagE | November 3, 2007

According to ProElite, David Tarrell was forced to drop out of UFC 78 due to a severe ankle injury sustained in training. Tarrell was set to fight Ed Herman on November 17 in Las Vegas. It is not known if the UFC will announce a replacement to fight Ed Herman or just scrap the fight all together.
David Tarrell is best known for knocking out Matt Lindland in 24 seconds, at UFC 49.
All indications are that he was truly motivated for the fight as he dropped a lot of weight in preparation for the bout. Unfortunately, an MRI revealed torn tendons and Terrell has been walking with the aid of crutches since the injury.
