UFC 77 Cincinnati:Tito Ortiz vs. Rashad Evans II

evans vs. ortiz

According to UFCJunkie, Rashad Evans camp has confirmed UFC 77 in Cincinnati Ohio on October 22 to host the rematch between Rashad Evans vs. Tito Ortiz. The news of the rematch comes just days after UFC 73 in which there first meeting ended in a disappointing draw after Tito Ortiz received a point deduction for grabbing the cage. Maybe in there next meeting Evans will be less timid, like he was against Sean Salmon and Tito Ortiz will be in better shape, not gassing in the third round. The headliner for UFC 77 will be Anderson Silva vs. Rich Franklin.

  1. I'm glad to see the rematch. Rashad should win this fight. I'm so tired of Tito and his bragging about being a top contender – he needs to lose this fight and fall off for a while. I wonder what the payout will be. Dana has to be sitting back just loving every minute of what's happening. Somebody should take the payout topic to ESPN and have a real discussion with Dana. Go Rashad!!

  2. well tito will win this fight just like he won the first even though they fought to a draw it was obvious the only reason Rashad had a chance to win was cause tito got tired and rashad got a takedown with like 15sec. in the last round but if tito hadnt lost a point for holding the fence that fight was his easily. And im not even a Ortiz fan and yes it is a lower a class fighter never a top contender but a contender still and he will beat rashad again but this time it will be official and I live in Ohio so I get to see it. So basically I want to see a great fight.

  3. yeah the only reason Tito didnt win is cause of the penalty point and he gased at the end of the fight. it is so funny how Joe Rogan says he is always in great condition but he got tired against forest griffin and Rashad evans so I just think that is hilarious. He will beat rashad unanimously next time they fight. Tito would have choked Rashad out but the bell rang so I say Tito wins.

  4. I just had a buddy of mine inform me that October 22 is on a Monday. I wonder how credible UFC JUNKIE is?

  5. Look at Rashad in that fight and look at his first fight in the TUF 2 series. He can't stop moving his arms and hands when he is nervous. Tito got the best of a nervous Rashad.

I personally think Tito was in good enough shape for that fight, he threw it. Had to, what fighter trains to fight 2 hard rounds and gas in the third. Especially since he would take Rashad down and do nothing but hold him. This next fight will be real and I can't wait.

  6. Realwun says:

Too bad Rashad is caught up in Tito bull. Tito has no shot at the title and he knows it so he is trying to market and get money.

Rashad, hire an agent that will get you more than 16,000 for the next fight, because that is a rip off.

  7. clempene says:

TITO ALWAYS TALKS ABOUT CONDITIONING AND TRAINING IN BIG BEAR.BUT I DON'T SEE IT.HE BURNS OUT,AFTER ABOUT A ROUND AND HALF THEN STARTS SWINGING PILLOWS.WHATS UP WITH THAT?MAN RASHAD SHOULD WALK RIGHT THREW HIM THE NEXT FIGHT,TITO'S A BUM,AND SHOULD THINK ABOUT JUST COACHING AND GET OUT WHILE HE STILL GOT SOME KIND OF RESPECT FROM SOME OF THE UP COMING FIGHTERS.
