UFC 76: Shogun Possibly Out Due To Injury

According to Graciefighter.com, The UFC’s most recent acquisition Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, may be scratched from his UFC debut due to a knee injury. Shogun is scheduled to make his debut at UFC 76 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California on September 22. The extent of his injuries are not yet know, but results in a couple of days should give us the news if he will make his UFC debut in September. Shogun fights out the the highly regarded Chute Box team and has an overall record of 16-2. He has raked up notable victories over current UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Ricardo Arona and Antonio Rogerio “Minotoro” Nogueira.

    shogun is an good fighter but the 205lb. weight class is tough rite now he will have a tough enough time making it to a title shot let alone winning the belt even if he beat rampage he beat a bad rampage now rampage is looking to be the next chuck only time will tell

    yeahthats true cause he fought rampage a long time ago RAMPAGE has elevated his game and with henderson liddell and wandy and tito it wil be hard to get to the top

    yeah with all the fighters and the skill lvl being this high the 205lb class is easily the best and most talented division in the world followed by the welterweight division.

    yo chuck is still one of the top fiters on the planet he will bounce back maybe not win the title but knock some more ppl out and give the fans what they want KO’s and he starts with wandy!!! Arona is not a top 5 fiter he is overrated and UFC made a big mistake not signing Sokoudju he is a very good fiter who is powerful quick agile and would be a huge fanbased fighter once the U.S. fans got to see him fite

    (ortiz and wanderlei r a toss up it remains to be seen how they will bounce back)
    these r the best LHW in the world hands down all elite fighters

    Shogun has a jujitsu and mental advantage that will shake up the division. Dont count this guy out, he is dangerous.
