UFC 76: Kazuhiro Nakamura Fails Drug Test
By CagE | September 26, 2007
According to the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC), Former PRIDE fighter Kazuhiro Nakamura (11-7 MMA) has failed his UFC 76 drug test. Nakamura tested positive for Marijuana and will have to serve a 3 month suspension and pay a $500 fine.
Nakamura made his UFC debut at UFC 76 losing to Lyoto Machida by unanimous decision. Nakamura was completely dominated trough out the entire fight and was winded at the end of the first round. Unless Nakamura signed a multi fight deal with the UFC, we probably won’t see him in the UFC anytime soon.
All other fighter tested at UFC 76, tested negative.

That dude was wierd as hell, with his pink umbrella. Shit, no suprise he was on drugs but my money would have been that he was on some meth or some halucigen like that.
How come this guys gets just 3 months and my boy diaz got a year, some messed up shit right there. No wonder Diaz is pissed all the time I would be to.

nick diaz was suspended for 6 months and recieved a $3000 fine. I believe the reason he got a longer suspension was because of the high amount of THC in his system perhaps nakamura only had a small amount in his system.

I don’t know what he was fined for but that’s good news. He’s a punk just like his younger upcoming punk brother.

Let me just say that I hated Nick Diaz and even Nate Diaz…up intil the point that he stood up to Karo Parisyan on TUF 5. Then I finally realized that they aren’t thugs, or more importantly, they aren’t politicians. That are great fighters that have too much pride. Love or hate them their talented and fun to watch.

Why are you testing these guys for marijuana? Marijuana is not a performance enhancer. This seems like a petty way to control the personal lives of these athletes.
