UFC 69: Recap
By CagE | April 8, 2007

Complete mayhem at UFC 69 in Houston TX. A wonderful night of fights and upsets rearranges the UFC Welterweight Division. You have to love a sport where you can be on top of your division one month and then suddenly knocked off your high the next month. Their is nobody that predicted the Serra win, especially by KO. Two of The Ultimate Fighter season 1 fighters were also knocked off their high horses. Mick Swick couldn’t handle Yushin Okami takedowns tonight. That was the only pick I choose right. Also Diego Sanchez tries his boxing and gets out classed by Josh Koscheck. While Koscheck won, the fight was still slow and a rematch is certain. The UFC is going to have to re-think its future welterweight matches. Here are the rest of the nights results.
Josh Haynes vs. Luke Cummo
Luke Cummo def. Josh Haynes by KO at 2:45 of round 2.
I picked this one, except I predicted Cummo would submit Haynes. Cummo has greatly improved his stand up skills.
Marcus Davis vs. Pete Spratt
Marcus Davis def. Pete Spratt by Straight Ankle Lock at 2:57 of round 2.
Thales Leites vs. Pete Sell
Thales Leites def. Pete Sell by Unanimous Decision (30-27)
Brad Imes vs. Heath Herring
Heath Herring def. Brad Imes by Unanimous Decision
Alan Belcher vs. Kendall Grove
Kendall Grove def. Alan Belcher by Darce choke at 4:42 of the 2nd round.
Yushin Okami vs. Mike Swick
Yushin Okami def. Mike Swick by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)
