Patrick Cote Vs. Scott Smith
Cote by TKO in the third round.
Quinton Jackson Vs. Marvin Eastman
Jackson is a strong fighter, but he is no Chuck Liddell. He should have no problem with Marvin Eastman. Marvin Eastman beat Jackson seven years ago, but a lot has changed. Eastman is on his way out but, since he beat Jackson the UFC can promote it as a legitimate fight.
I have it Jackson TKO in the first.
Mirko Cro Cop Vs. Eddie Sanchez
Mirko Cro Cop is heavily favored to KO Sanchez. I think Eddie Sanchez will actually put up a good fight before he gets TKOed. If he going to win he has to press Cro Cop and don’t give him a chance to to set up his kicks.
Mirko Cro Cop by TKO in the first
John Halverson Vs. Roger Huerta
Halverson is making his UFC debut. He has an impressive record in smaller venues. Huerta made his debut in UFC 63 with a win over Jason Dent. Both these fighters are new in the UFC and have similar styles. That should make for a good fight and a potential brawl. I think Huerta has a little advantage already fighting in the UFC.
Huerta by unanimous decision.
Anderson Silva Vs. Travis Lutter
Travis Lutter is a “gum fighter” by gum I mean he tends to slowdown and give his opponents trouble. His style tends to be boring, but he can also makes his opponents look bad. Silva is a fast dynamic striker and he also has decent ground skills. It is all about how well he sprawls and stays on his feet. This should be a good test of Silva’s abilities against a ground fighter.
Silva by TKO in the first round.
