There’s a sure faceoff between Rampage Jackson and Glover Teixeira which will happen on October this year at HSBC Arena in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Before this was settled, there was a lot of talking that Rampage would be leaving the arena after his last fight. There were plans of rematch with Mauricio Rua but before that was even planned; Rampage had two knee surgeries that led to the cancellation of his fight with Rua. Rather than fighting Rua, Rampage will be expecting a match with Teixeira.
Expect a Thrilling Fight
The one who confirmed the news of this match between Rampage and Teixeira is Globo, the grand Brazilian sports icon. This is anticipated to happen on October 13. Since his UFC 144 loss to Ryan Bader, Rampage has left the arena. There were many speculations of his retirement after his double injury in this match but then, Rampage gained confidence and will try his fight luck on October. On the other hand, Teixeira is far from being the odd opponent since he already made a huge start in UFC 146 by winning over Kyle Kingsbury within 2 minutes.
Who’s Going to Win?
Rampage should better be off his good spirits if he wants to win the fight. For several months, he has made some resentful statements of Teixeira’s match being his last because of an ending contract. With his past fights, Rampage has fought with very well skilled fighters. In contrast, Teixeira is very much in condition with this fight. Overall, most of his fights were won by knockout (18-2). During his debut in UFC 146, he immediately showed his robust skills with an arm triangle choke. Following his debut, it seems Rua wasn’t happy enough to fight him and reportedly refused the opportunity. Let us see who will win the odds.
