TUF 6 Finale: Roger Huerta vs. Clay Guida

By CagE | December 9, 2007

Sure to be a UFC classic, I was surprised how easy Guida gave up his neck after controlling the first two rounds. Guida is the energizer bunny of the UFC, but he relies to much on his wrestling.

Me too. He was close to taking it to a decision and winning but he got caught. Still a great fight.

I think that Huerta is good but not great. This fight showed that he cn be dominated. Sherk would control him for a whole boring 25min 5 rd fight. Like Hermes Franca fight. Sherk ate a nasty knee right on the button and still was able to sahke it off and get the takedown. B.J. Penn would beat Huerta in every place the fight would go. On the ground and on the feet. This is why I say he is good not great.

Awesome fight. Both guys raised their stock in that one…Guida dominated 2 rounds and Huerta came on strong late and finished.

great post steve i agree with u whole heartedly but hes young and i think he will get a lot better im just glad he didnt choke when he finally got a top lightweight… he needs to go back to his roots and train inn his wrestling the guy has sick bjj after watchin his fight before this i think he needs to work on his sprawl…. guidas awesome hes just too wild and gets caught but they will keep bringing him back because he is exciting i hate sherk and hope penn or stevenson knocks him out or submits him… sherk should get the loser of penn stevenson i think that would be funny

In a fair world Sherk would have to fight his way back up again…I would be all for him having to fight the loser of Penn/Stevenson.

It’s funny Robert’s not here to call Huerta a “can”…lol.. Anyway, I thought that was a great fight. In fact, I liked that whole show by comparison to the last three I paid for. I think if Huerta didn’t sink that choke, Guida would have won the decision. I also agree with Steve in that huerta would be no match for Penn.

ya unless penn gasses like he does in most of his fights haha how many times have u seen huerta gas? but i think bj would knock him out before he had the chance i really hope bj prepares well for stevenson and sherk and doesnt let his party life style get the best of him like it has in the past

I hear you. I hate watching Penn gas. However, Huerta vs Penn??? IMO Penn wins in round one.
