Ryan - yeah, JT prolly would've remained on the show if he contained his rowdiness to the house. He didn't. The authorities were involved. How would Dana have looked if he did nothing? It would've looked like he condoned it.

First, Why are we talking about basketball? Second, I agree about JT, but should he have been kicked out completely? He definately should have been disciplined, but they tell those guys to get rowdy and destroy the house because it's entertaining. That just makes them all look immature and like a bunch of thugs. I think they might end up giving him another chance. They did give Gabe Rudiger another chance.

I agree with that TKAY. I would have respected Mayweather more if he didn't try to get on every TV show he could in this last year instead of fighting. A win against Cotto would have sealed the deal for me on where he stood all time.

Mayweather has top five fastest hands and best defense in the modern era among the lighter weights . . below middleweight. He beat everyone he fought. That doesn't diminsh his stature. He just didn't achive all he could have.

His stature COULD have been even greater....as among the best EVER. He simply didn't allow himself the opportunities to see if he could be best ever...by fighting Cotto and maybe a few others. (NOT Margarito...not in Floyd's class. )

As you suggested, fighters like Ali took his chances with the best of his time and put his legacy on the line, repeatedly; so did Leonard. They wanted to see just what their limits were, without fear of failure. Their hearts and drive are key reasons they hold the most elite status among fighters. Their compelling battles against Fraizer and Foreman, or Hagler, Hearns and Duran define their legacies.

I fear Mayweather feared the testing of his ultimate limits, and "settled" for the comforts of being really really good for his time, not for all time. Too bad; we'll never know what he COULD have done in his prime.

I didn't know Vera made it official that he was going down to LHW. Sounds good to me. The Celtics were too good. Three superstars on that team carried them through. Kobe can't be expected to carry the load every night, the team let the Lakers down too. I'm pissed at Dana. I think he made that contrivercial ending to boost the ratings. He'll bring back JT to the UFC but to boot someone after the show is dumb. You can't tell me he's the only TUF fighter to get drunk and act stupid after the show wrapped.
