Headlining the debut event is former UFC heavyweight champion Josh Barnett and former Olympian Hidehiko Yoshida. Also featured on the card is Former PRIDE FC lightweight champion Takanori Gomi and MMA veteran Duane “Bang” Ludwig.

WVR News: Takanori Gomi Takes On Duane Ludwig

World Victory Road (WVR) has announced some more fights for its “Sengoku” event on March 5 in Tokyo, Japan. Among the recently announced is PRIDE FC standout Takanori Gomi. Gomi is scheduled to take on UFC veteran Duane “Bang” Ludwig.

Takanori Gomi once considered one of the top lightweights in the world, has not fought since losing to Nick Diaz at PRIDE 33 last February.

Striker Duane Lidwig is coming off a knock out win over Mario Stapel at Ring Of Fire 30 in September. Also, their is no word whether Ludwig will still fight on February 23rds, Strikeforce At The Dome in Tacoma, WA.
