WEC Featherweight champion Jose Aldo will likely take on Manny Gamburyan at WEC 51 on Sept. 8 in Vegas.

Aldo’s manager Ed Soares,

“He should be fighting sometime in September I think. I think that’s the fight … That’s the fight that makes sense, I also heard there were some rumors about that (Josh) Grispi kid moving up the ranks there too, but I think Manny lately has been pretty impressive. People do what they want to do, but I think Manny seems like the right fight as far as the pecking order goes.”

Gamburyan made a huge leap in the WEC featherweight division after knocking out former champion Mike Brown back in April.
