Urijah Faber Forced Out Of WEC 50 Fight With Takeya Mizugaki Due To Injury

Urijah Faber broke the news that his WEC bantamweight debut at WEC 50 against Takeya Mizugaki on Aug. 18th will have to wait. The fighter suffered a knee injury training for the fight and can’t train for six weeks.

Been quit the last few days, i was injured in pract on Mon. Just got results Im Out on Aug 18th. Not 2 happy chattin w @arielhelwani now. [Twitter]

Faber comments,

Somebody was going to take me down during training. They swept me and I heard a loud pop … They said it would be six weeks before I could train again, but it may heal even faster.[Heavy]

It is not yet known if Mizugaki will remain on the card.
