UFC 92 NSAC Medical Suspensions

The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) has released a list of fighter injuries and suspensions following UFC 92 “The Ultimate 2008″ which took place last Saturday from he MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Nevada.

Mostapha Al Turk, Brad Blackburn, Reese Andy and Dan Evensen were handed down six month suspensions for their injuries. The suspensions are for precautionary reasons, fighters can have them reduced with proper medical clearances.

  1. Forrest Griffin: suspended until June 27 due to possible broken left hand (can be cleared early by orthopedic doctor and negative x-ray); minimum suspension until Feb. 12 with no contact until Jan. 28 for precautionary reasons
  2. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira: suspended until Feb. 27 with no contact until Feb. 12 for precautionary reasons
  3. Mike Massenzio: suspended until Jan. 28 with no contact until Jan. 19 for precautionary reasons
  4. Wanderlei Silva: suspended until Feb. 27 with no contact until Feb. 12 for precautionary reasons
  5. Mostapha Al Turk: suspended until June 27 due to broken nose (can be cleared early by orthopedic doctor); minimum suspension until Feb. 27 with no contact until Feb. 12 due to lacerations over left eye and on top of head
  6. Mike Wessel: suspended until Feb. 12 with no contact until Jan. 28 for precautionary reasons
  7. Matt Hamill: suspended until Feb. 12 with no contact until Jan. 28 due to cut under left eye
  8. Reese Andy: suspended until June 27 due to possible orbital fracture (can be cleared early by orthopedic doctor and negative CT Scan); minimum suspension until Feb. 27 with no contact until Feb. 12 for precautionary reasons
  9. Brad Blackburn: must be cleared by neurologist for left arm tingling/numbness before next fight; suspended until June 27 due to nasal fracture (can be cleared early by ENT doctor); minimum suspension until Feb. 12 with no contact until Jan. 28 for precautionary reasons
  10. Dan Evensen: suspended until June 27 due to left knee damage (can be cleared early by orthopedic doctor); minimum suspension until Jan. 28 with no contact until Jan. 19 for precautionary reasons
  11. Patrick Barry: Suspended until Jan. 28 with no contact until Jan. 19 due to right elbow injury

Fighter payouts have been released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for last Saturdays UFC 92 “The Ultimate 2008″ which took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Rashad Evans: $130,000 (including $65,000 bonus)
Forrest Griffin: $100,000
Frank Mir: $90,000 (including $45,000 bonus)
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira: $250,000
Quinton Jackson: $325,000 (including $100,000 bonus)
Wanderlei Silva: $200,000
CB Dollaway: $20,000 (including $10,000 bonus)
Mike Massenzio: $5,000
Cheick Kongo: $90,000 (including $45,000 bonus)
Mustapha al Turk: $7,000
Yushin Okami: $32,000 (including $16,000 bonus)
Dean Lister: $19,000
Antoni Hardonk: $28,000 (including $14,000 bonus)

UFC 92 “The Ultiamte 2008” had a sellout crowed of 14,103 fans and which pulled in a live gate of $3.47 million.
