Quinton Jackson versus Glover Teixeria at UFC on Fox 6

Quinton Jackson and Glover Teixeria will face of on UFC on Fox 6. Jackson announced this matchup Tuesday through Twitter as he awaits the Brazilian fighter on January 26, 2013 at Chicago’s United Center.

Jackson wrote: “Outside the cage, I hate no one. Life is too short for that. Inside the cage, my job is to destroy! Glover is done on January 26 in Chicago.”

The light heavyweights were expected to meet on October 13 at UFC 153, but Jackson the “Rampage” was forced to withdraw from the fight when he suffered an injury. This match was a flyweight championship showdown between Demetrious Johnson, reigning titlist and John Dodson, challenger. There will also be an extreme matchup between World Extreme Cagefighting alumni Anthony Pettis and Donald Cerrone will meet each other at the Octagon in a lightweight fight.

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is a 34 year old light heavyweight fighter from Memphis, Tennessee, USA. He has 32 wins and only 10 losses in his professional career. His latest fights were back to back defeats against Jon Jones at UFC 135 in September 24, 2011 and from Ryan Bader at UFC 144 in February 2012 via unanimous decision. Before these defeats, he was able to face and to win against prized fighters like Matt Hamil, Lyoto Machida, Keith Jardine, Wanderlei Silva, Dan Henderson, Chuck Liddell, Matt Linlard and  Marvin Eastman to name a few.

Glover Teixeria on the other hand is a 33 year old light heavyweight fighter from Sobralia, Minas Gerais, Brazil. He had 19 wins and only 2 losses in his career. His latest victory over Fabio Maldonado at UFC 153 in October 13, 2012 via TKO was his 17th consecutive win in his professional career. He has faced the likes of Kyle Kingsbury, Ricco RodriguezMarvin Eastman, Antonio Mendes, Marcio Cruz, Daniel Tabera and Marko Peselj to name a few. His last defeat was in 2005 in the hands of Ed Herman in SF 9 Respect via unanimous decision. His 10 years as a pro has been a great stage in Teixeria’s career and fans will surely look forward to his fight with Rampage on January 26.

Rashad Evans and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson Confirmed As The Ultimate Fighter 10 Coaches

According to FightersOnly, Quinton Jackson and Rashad Evens are the coaches of season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter realty show. This news puts out any rumors that Jackson’s next opponent, Lyoto Michida would serve as the second coach on TUF 10.

A source close to former champion Rashad Evans says that rumours he will be taking a coaching spot on TUF10 are true.

Rampage had already confirmed the news of his position on his official Twitter account.

Sorry Dragon fans, Michida will just have to wait his turn for the TUF spotlight.

Their has been much speculation about Quinton “Rampage” Jackson possibly coaching another season of The Ultimate Fighter reality show. In a recent twitter post, Rampage confirms the rumors:

“about to watch myself in the movie midnight meat train & packing my stuff to move to vegas to coach TUF!!”

Could this mean the other coach is Lyoto Machida?

Rampage is slated to take on the newly crowned UFC light heavyweight champion later this year.
