The UFC has confirmed that UFC light heavyweight Houston Alexander has been forced out of his UFC 98 fight with Andre Gusmao (5-1), due to a broken hand he suffered while training.
The UFC is expected to announce a replacement fighter to face Gusmao on the UFC 98 under card.
Alexander, 2-3 in the UFC, is in a must win situation. Another loss in the UFC could add the Nebraska native to a growing list of fighters dropped by the organization.
UPDATE
Krzysztof Soszynski will replace Houston Alexander and take on Andre Gusmao on the preliminary card of UFC 98.
