Strikefore At The Mansion 2: Renato “Babalu” Sobral vs. Bobby Southworth

By CagE | August 13, 2008

According to NBC Sports, Renato “Babalu” Sobral (30-7) will likely face Bobby Southworth (9-5) at the upcoming “Strikeforce at the Mansion 2″ event slated for September 20th in Las Angles, CA.

The Brazilian fighter, is coming off a win over Mike Whitehead at “Affliction Banned” earlier this year. Babalu was rumored to be taking on Tito Ortiz at Affliction 2: Day of Reckoning , but with affliction being only 3 weeks later that rumor looks to be untrue.

The Ultimate Fighter 1 cast member Bobby Southworth will defend his Strikeforce light heavyweight belt for the second time on September 20th. Southworth has been criticized in his most recent fights for looking extremely sloppy and doing just enough to get the wins. His fight with Babalu will be a major step up in competition for the 39 yr old fighter.

HA!!!!! I don’t think Southworth will be able to keep up. I don’t know if Babalu will even break a sweat.
