Strikeforce News: Gilbert Melendez vs. Josh Thomson Announced

    By CagE | April 25, 2008

Strikeforce today announced, via press release, the lightweight battle between Gilbert Melendez and Josh Thompson for its June 27 card.

The two were originally scheduled to fight on the Frank Shamrock vs. Cung Le fight last month, but Thompson pulled out of the fight after injuring his shoulder training. Miletich fighter Gabe Lemley replaced Thompson, but lost the one sided fight by TKO in the second round.

Strikeforce’s next event is scheduled for June 27 from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.
