Strikeforce Intrested In Jason “Mayhem” Miller vs Jake Shields
By CagE | August 18, 2009
Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker talks about their relationship with the Japanese Promotion DREAM and the possibility of putting together some great fights,
“The thing about ‘Mayhem,’ he’s fighting in Japan and his contract allows him to fight in Japan with DREAM, but he also has a contract with Strikeforce … You will see him in Strikeforce, and whether he’s fighting for DREAM or for us, ‘Mayhem’ Miller vs. Jake Shields, we’re trying to put that fight together.” [The Junkie]
The matchup is still probably a longshot as Mayhem is expected to again fight Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza for the middleweight belt at DREAM 11 in September.
Love him or hate him, Mayhem is a character. He also, brings with him a huge following of mainstream fans who watch MTV hit show, ‘Bully Beatdown’.
