    Rampage go BigTime

Quinton Jackson will join LeBron James and other star athletes this weekend in Los Angeles to film a Nike commercial dubbed “Human Chain,”.

The spot, featuring a premise of “overachieving with victory, getting knocked down and getting back up,” said Jackson’s trainer Juanito Ibarra, will be the second Nike ad to showcase a mixed martial artist. Randy Couture became the first in a 1996 spot called “Scars” that featured close-ups of his famously cauliflowered ears.

      MMA is officially mainstream.

it looks like its going that way. but all of the older fans dedicated to boxing will probably never accept the sport.

SILVA is fine where he is. that is his natural weight class they would have to offer him a lot of money to go for that. There are enough LHW’s out there to keep rampage busy for the next 2 years. SILVA can keep dominating 185 till GSP moves up

SILVA will wipe out GSP too. But this thing with RAMPAGE is GREAT for the UFC and MMA. Until they keep getting real sponsors like NIKE, REEBOK, GATORADE, ect. they will never be taken seriously as a sport. Another thing MMA needs is to consolidate all these small leagues and labels like UFC and PRIDE did. IFL, ELITE XC, KOTC, and so on need to be merged into the UFC or just call it MMA so that it looks more like BOXING (a legit sport) and not WWF (a joke) can you imagine MMA in the OLYMPICS 2012 If that could ever happen or if colleges have MMA competitions then it will be a SPORT for real.

“Boxing” has many different sanctioning bodies: IBA,IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO, WBC and on and on. Rolling the small leagues into UFC would be like rolling minor league baseball into MLB. Every sport needs a development ground. MMA will never be in the Olympics because it is about damage. Even boxing, Taekwondo, and Judo in the Olympics are watered down “points” based competition.
