Pro Elite Acquires ICON Sport

Today Pro Elite Inc announced it has Acquired the Hawaiian based promotion ICON Sport as part of its bid to take over the mixed martial arts world, not controlled by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Here is a little clip for Sherdog.
“Last October … we came and invested in and bought Rumble World,” said EliteXC Live Events President, Gary Shaw. “And today we’re proud to announce that within the last hour, we just completed our deal and we bought ICON. So, we own the islands.”
