Mark Hunt Signs Four Fight Deal With The UFC, Takes On Sean McCorkle at UFC 119

K-1 kickboxer Mark Hunt signs a four fight UFC contract owed to him as part of the UFC’s purchase of Pride Fighting Championships.

Hunt is expected to take on Sean McCorkle at UFC 119 in Indianapolis, according to FiveOunces.

Jerome LeBanner Sick, Melvin Manhoef Steps Up To Face Mark Hunt at NYE Fields K-1 Dynamite

Melvin Manhoef has stepped in to fight Mark Hunt at New Years Eve’s Fields K-1 Dynamite show, replacing an ill Jerome LeBanner. Manhoef comes in as a true light heavyweight, giving up possibly 50 lbs to the heavyweight Mark Hunt. No word on to the type or extent of Jerome LeBanner’s illness.

Broadcast Update: Fields K-1 Dynamite will not be shown live in the US. Talks with HDNet and EventMagic.tv have were not successful.

Fields K-1 Dynamite is set to go off on December 31 from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

K-1 Fields Dynamite NYE Event Show Finalized, Finally

The New Years Eve super show Fields Dynamite 2008 put on by Fighting and Entertainment Group (FEG) the parent company of K-1 and DREAM, has finally been finalized.

A last minute addition to the card pits ball breaker Alistair Overeem (4-2) against unruly Badr Hari (69-5-1). The fight will take place under K-1 rules.

Fields Dynamite 2008 is expected to be one of the biggest gathering of Japanese MMA talent since the PRIDE FC organization closed its doors in 2007.

The 2008 Dynamite show will only be broadcast via the TBS (Tokyo Broadcasting Station) , but Eventmagic.tv is calming to stream the event online for $29.95.
