Jason “Mayhem” Miller Arrested for Burglary

Jason “Mayhem” Miller, former UFC and Strikeforce fighter was arrested Monday for burglary in Mission Viejo, California. This report was according to a police services site of the city. Miller is currently in custody at the Intake Release Center in Santa Ana, California and is reported to be scheduled to appear in court on August 15. Bail has been set for Miller for $20,000.

According to police services site, a break-in happened at Alicia Parkway at 8:30 AM PT. Police was able to respond at 8:34 AM. Miller had allegedly broken into a church and with a fire extinguisher sprayed foam on the church’s first and second floors. TMZ.com was the first to report Millers arrest and described that police found him naked but coherent on couch inside the church. There were scattered CDs, broken pictures and books that were trashed inside the building.

It was not too long ago when Miller last fought at UFC 146; he lost via a unanimous decision to C.B. Dollaway in a middleweight fight. After his loss, Miller, then a 31 year old veteran, announced his retirement. His defeat to Dollaway was his second consecutive loss in the promotion. He also suffered a defeat against Michael Bisping at the “TUF 14” Finale in December 2011. Miller is also a former host of MTV reality show “Bully Beatdown”.

Miller has been exchanging words on Twitter with UFC President Dana White. Miller wanted to know why White never begged him to retire and later as they exchanged comments, Miller commented that he would be willing to fight White. He also tweeted: “And now my life is shaping up to exactly what I want it to be.” Miller added: “How about I fight that fight that Tito [Ortiz] ducked out of?”

Jason “Mayhem” Miller is a native of Las Vegas, Nevada and was a middleweight fighter who retired after 23 wins, 9 losses and 1 N/C on his belt. Before he lost to Bisping in The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale, he defeated Kazushi Sakuraba in Dream 16 in September 2010 and Tim Stout at M-1 Global “Fedor versus Rogers” in November 2009. He was an impressive fighter with more wins over submissions and was also described as one of the most colorful characters in MMA until after he retired. Upon his arrest, he listed “comedian” as his occupation on the police arrest report.

Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller vs Ronaldo ‘Jacaré’ Souza Possible For DREAM 9

According to the Brazilian news site Tatame, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza (10-2) is in talks to fight for the DREAM middleweight title against Jason “Mayhem” Miller (21-6) at DREAM 9 on May 26th.

Souza’s coach Josuel Distak:

“Jacaré’s fight will be for the title, at May 26th. The expectations are good and we’re ready to war … We’re still waiting for the confirmation and Dream’s answer, but the rumors say that will be against Jason Miller, but it’s not 100% confirmed yet”

Jacare defeated Miller by unanimous decision at DREAM 4 (middleweight grand prix quarter finals), but was later knocked out in the finals by Gegard Mousasi.

With Mousasi moving up to light heavyweight, Jacare is primed to claim the DREAM middleweight belt.
