Gym owner Tom Vaughn,

Bennett started to pick up the intensity of what wasn’t supposed to be a full-speed session.
Bennett “was for some reason starting to throw hard on a day when we weren’t going hard … Tyler asked him to stop, then Tyler threw him down to the mat and said, ‘I told you we weren’t going hard.’ … He’d [Bennett] never displayed this type of behavior … He’s no longer a part of our team. End of story.”

Police later caught up with Bennett, he is retained at the ABQ metro jail on a $25,000 bond. Bennett has been in and out of jail multiple times on various charges ranging from assault to cocaine usage.

PRIDE lightweight Takanori Gomi takes on Charles “Krazy Horse” Bennett at Pride Bushido 5.

Bennett was bragging on BET’s Iron Ring show, saying that he doesnt even go into the gym and train for his fights.

I believe him, he sucks. The guy has ridiculuos natural talent, but just can’t stay out of jail long enough to get a ground game. Imagine the value a well trained, showman like KH could be for any promotion.

EliteXC Debutes On SHOWTIME

EliteXC fight on showtime

EliteXC is making its debut tonight on SHOWTIME. EliteXC is a partnership with Pro Elite Inc and SHOWTIME. Gary Shaw is throwing his hat in the cage at EliteXC. Shaw is a veteran boxing promoter who has promoted major fights like Lennox Lewis vs. Mike Tyson, the highest grossing PPV event ever. The main event is between Frank Shamrock and Renzo Gracie. Shamrock hasn’t lost a fight in ten years, but he also rarely fights in major events. Renzo Gracie is coming off two major wins against Carlos Newton and Pat Miletich in the IFL. The only issue I have with this event is that they promote these MMA legends, but they are past their prime and I don’t want it to turn in to a Senior league. I wouldn’t want in 5 or 6 years to be watching Chuck Liddell fight Randy Couture. It was sad enough to see Ken Shamrock get his ass kicked in the last few years. Ken Shamrock was amazing in his prime, but now when I think of Ken Shamrock, I think of him getting a beating by Tito Ortiz and Rich Franklin. Maybe that’s just me.

The one fight that I am looking forward to seeing is David Loiseau vs. Joey Villasenor. Louseau is coming off being cut by the UFC, and Villasenor is coming off his devastating losses in Pride. Villasenor took that flying knee from Robbie Lawler and didn’t even get in a punch. Villasenor and Loiseau are both stand up brawlers and that always makes for a good show. The card also has an women’s MMA event. That should be interesting.
