Peak Condition: James Toney Last Minute Training For Randy Couture at UFC 118

UFC 118 — James Toney putting in some last minute work at the gym in his quest to prove a boxer can hang with a mixed martial artist, Randy Couture. His physique is light years above Roy Nelson’s, but Toney still has a few more crunches to do if he is aiming for Dos Santos.

  1. nutsucker says:

anybody know how much JT's weight will be for this bout aproximately. i know randy will be 225-230

  2. Flying Armbar says:

    I would guess 250.

  3. I hope he is working his takedown defense.

  4. He actually doesn't have as much fat as I thought, but his cardio will be a different story. Randy will have a definite advantage there. Toney beter hope for a KO in the first or he will have a long night as he is picked apart by Couture.

  5. It would be pretty embarrasing for MMA if Toney wins. He started out as a middle wieght and is only about 5'9" or 5'10". I'd be surprised if comes in over 220. If he continues to fight in the UFC he should drop to light heavy.

  6. randy wins by toe hold 1 min in

  7. Slovakian toe-hold?

  8. I am guessin he wins by iron claw to the forehead… either that or Indian deathlock.

  9. last minute conditioning, looks like hes been pounding some last minute cheeseburgers

  10. he'll sub him with purple nerpurpules

  11. Toney by flying scissor heel hook
