According to EliteXC VP Jarad Shaw, Jake Shields and Paul Daley have verbaly agreed to fight at the next EliteXC on CBS show set for Oct. 4 from the Bank Atlantic Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Paul Daley the former Cage Rage and FX3 welterweight champion has been calling for this fight after his scheduled fight on Sept. 20th was cancelled by EliteXC.
“Jake Shields and Paul Daley have a date on Oct. 4….Both fighters have verbally agreed. Bout agreements are out and we’re just waiting for them to come back in.”
Daley will likely prove to be Shields toughest challenge as of yet. The fight also adds some legitimacy to the EliteXC-CBS fightcard.
Shaw also denied rumors that Sean Gannon will be Kimbos next opponent.
“There are several options we’re considering right now. Gannon is not the guy,”
